Sticking around the game
Over-30 lacrosse league gaining teams, interest

COHASSET -- Many of the players arrive from work still in business-casual attire. They change into their uniforms in the comfort of their cars. They engage in friendly tete-a-tete with the "enemy."

Wives and girlfriends chill on the sidelines. Children mosey around with sticks of their own, idolizing their fathers, who are on the field. Teammates introduce themselves, ostensibly meeting for the first time.

The game begins around 6 p.m. Their skills are varied. Former Division 1 college lacrosse players are working off the rust, while newcomers, who were exposed to lacrosse through their children, are trying not to look misplaced.

Rusty Bones Makes First Annual Collection for the Nashua Soup Kitchen

Nashua, NH – In the spirit of giving and thinking of those who are less fortunate; Rusty Bones team members were asked to donate food for the Nashua Soup Kitchen which feeds an increase of visitors during Thanksgiving.  Players were asked to bring the donations to the weekly Friday night pick up game at Rising Stars on November 19.  By the end of the evening, the Bones had collected 11 bags of traditional Thanksgiving food such as stuffing, pies, pie mixes, cranberry sauce, potatoes etc.  In addition, 8 frozen turkeys were collected. Dan Cunningham, team director of Community Development collected and delivered the donations to the Soup kitchen the following morning.
